The unlikely duo will mix it up for a special one-time, one-on-one sit down LIVE ON STAGE. Plus, surprise special guests!
The event builds on the success of Bill’s podcast, “Club Random with Bill Maher.” The podcast records at the bar on Bill's property in Los Angeles, called Club Random, where he hosts longform, one-on-one interviews with a wide range of eclectic guests. Each episode features free flowing conversations about anything and everything, except politics. Guests have included Quentin Tarantino, Dana White, Jerry Seinfeld, Whitney Cummings, Candace Owens, Martin Short, Jordan Petersen, Ice Cube, Woody Harrelson, Sheryl Crow, and many more. Regarding Cub Random, Mediaite proclaimed, “Maher is one of the few people in media to achieve true multi-platform success. By establishing himself as a brand, Maher’s podcast Club Random has become a destination, jam-packed with big name celebrities, journalists, comics, and politicians. And importantly, often the names that won’t get a one-on-one anywhere else.”
About Bill Maher:
For more than twenty-five years, Bill Maher has set the boundaries of where funny, political talk can go on American television. First on “Politically Incorrect”, and for more than twenty years on HBO’s “Real Time,” Maher’s combination of unflinching honesty and big laughs have garnered him 41 Emmy nominations. This same combination was on display in Maher’s uproarious and unprecedented swipe at organized religion, “Religulous.”
In naming him the 6th most influential person in media for 2023, Mediaite noted that on Real Time, “Maher is able to hit the right topic and right guests to dominate Saturday’s social media buzz, and the comments made by those guests follow them into Sunday interviews and the next week’s conversations in politics and culture.” Those guests have included President Barack Obama, then Vice President Joseph Biden, Sen. Bernie Sanders, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Howard Stern, Elon Musk, Barbra Streisand, Kerry Washington, Steve Martin & Martin Short, Megyn Kelly, Michael Moore, Jim Carrey and Sen. Ted Cruz.
May 21st, Simon and Schuster will publish, “What This Comedian Said Will Shock You.” A brilliantly astute and acerbically funny vivisection of American life, politics, and culture, it is Maher’s first book in more than a decade.
Maher started his career as a stand-up comedian in 1979, and still performs at least fifty dates a year in Las Vegas and in sold out theaters all across the country. Bill has also been recognized with numerous Emmy nominations for his stand-up specials for HBO.
About Kid Rock:
Kid Rock is a multi-platinum award-winning American rock ‘n roll icon. His music has been characterized as a melting pot of musical genres; from rap-rock in the ‘90s with singles “Bawitdaba” and “Cowboy,” to the multi-chart hit “Picture,” a collaboration with Sheryl Crow, to the global smash hit, “All Summer Long,” charted at No. 1 in eight countries across Europe and Australia.
Kid Rock has sold nearly 30 million records worldwide and has earned a reputation as one of the hardest-working acts in rock n’ roll, blowing the roofs off arenas and stadiums on countless cross-country tours and treks around the globe. Kid Rock holds the Michigan record for most tickets sold with 150,000 for a run of ten consecutive sold-out shows, and he set the Little Caesars Arena attendance record in his hometown of Detroit with 86,893 attendees in six sold-out shows.
Kid Rock is also a passionate supporter of those who serve in the US Armed Forces, in addition to many other charitable causes through his Kid Rock Foundation.
His newest album, Bad Reputation, was released through his own Top Dog Records label. The album features crowd favorites, “Don’t Tell Me How To Live,” “We The People,” and “My Kind of Country,” a song he co-wrote with Eric Church and Adam Hood.
